Bhagwati Charan Panigrahi (February 1, 1908 - October 23, 1943) was a prolific writer born in Bishwanathpur, Puri district.
Birth and education-- Bhagwati Charan was born on February 1, 1908 in Bishwanathpur village under Balipatna police station in Puri district. He was the youngest son of Swapneshwar Panigrahi's 3 sons and 2 daughters. Divyasinghe Panigrahi and Kalindi Charan Panigrahi (novelist) had two other brothers. Bhagwati Charan completed her primary education at Puri District School and Satyavadi Forest School, earning a bachelor's degree in economics from Ravensa College and a bachelor's degree in economics from Patna University. He later studied law at Ravensa College. While studying at the University of Patna, he was greatly influenced by Professor Gyan Chand. During this time he was deeply inspired by the writings of Harbert George Wallace (1866-1946), Harry Sinclair (1885-1951), and Bernard (1856-1950).
