Family Court, Rayagada

Founded in 2019, the judiciary is located in Rayagada district. It is the only judicial institution in the Rayagada subdivision area of ​​Rayagada district to consider all family cases.

History--

According to Section 3 of the Family Court Rules of India Act, 1984, the notification was approved in June 2016 by the Law Department of the Government of Odisha No. 5275L, dated 4.6.2016 for the establishment of the institution. However, it was inaugurated on January 19, 2019 by Justice Krishna Ram Mohapatra, Judge of the Odisha High Court. Ms. Saubhagini Mallick is the first judge of the judiciary.

Rights field--

Although it is the only family court established in Rayagada district, it is the only jurisdictional jurisdiction within the Rayagada subdivision. Accordingly, all court cases pending in all the courts in Rayagada and Kashipur, the headquarters and all the new family cases in the jurisdiction of the said jurisdiction will be within the scope of this court judgment.

It is clear from the following provisions that the family court is a special forum or institution for resolving family disputes, rather than a judicial or criminal court that punishes such as a civil or criminal court.
